Africa is a beautiful continent with many natural and cultural resources (Boniface and Cooper, 2001, 240) to embraces, the main reason why people travel to Africa are for business matters, a holiday and to visit family. An increasing amount of international arrivals (UNWTO, 2013b) every year, displays that more people have a desire to visit Africa or return.  In caparison to other continents, Africa is not the most developed in terms of it tourism and events industry, but it has made rapid growth, with the help of global mega event, it is thought that there are many factors which are preventing Africa from developing, some of which include, climate change, travel and transport issue, and the negative image which are associated with the continent (Boniface and Cooper, 2001, 240). However there is room for the events tourist industry to grown, as Africa is already utilising their natural and cultural resources.
